** The Difference Between Taiwan and America**

I was born and raised in Taiwan, and now I live in America.
There are many differences between the countries.
Taiwan is an island of small size. Everything in Taiwan is tiny: the roads, the houses and the cars.
Because Taiwan is so small, the traffic is very heavy.
The cars, motorcycles, bicycles and buses are going everywhere.
Sometimes the motorcycles will occupy car lanes; it is very dangerous.
That is why I was afraid to drive in Taiwan.
I always took the buses or MRT (Metro Rapid Transit) to places that I needed to go.
On the other hand, America is a big land.
The roads are broad, the houses are big and the cars are big also.
It seems like everything in America is big.
The traffic is not as heavy in America, and everyone pays attention and obeys the traffic signs.
I think driving in America is safer and easier than in Taiwan.
I can drive from home to school by myself everyday.

In addition, food is different between Taiwan and America.
Taiwanese food is cheaper and has a variety of choices.
We can eat everything that we want to eat in Taiwan.
Like Taiwanese food, Japanese food, American food and French food…etc. Those are delicious.
American food is expensive. The same things in Taiwan and America have different prices.
For example: chicken fried rice.
If I want to order chicken fried rice in Taiwan, I just need to pay 2 U.S dollars.
If I want to eat chicken fried rice in America, it may cost 7 U.S dollars.

Also, hair cuts in America costs me more money than in Taiwan.
For instance; when I lived in Taiwan, I just need to spend 6 U.S dollars to have my hair cut.
But in America, I need to spend 20 U.S dollars or more to have my hair cut.

Although there are so many differences between Taiwan and America,
I like both places. They give me different feelings with the different environments.
I have gained many experiences in different countries.
